A race night will be held in the bowlers lounge on Saturday 21st October at 7.30pm, entry £1. Please try to get along to this evening (bring as many friends as you like), as the more that attend, the better the evening. We have a new selection of races this time, as we recently purchased the new “Frankie Dettori” Race Night DVD, so this should make the evening more interesting. As usual, Drew will be the compere and the committee will be selling the race tickets as well as calculating the odds. Race 8 will be the auction race.
Race night sheets are available from any member of the committee.

On Friday 13th October, the annual “Filling of the Cups” will take place in the bowlers lounge with a 7.30pm start. Entry fee is £2 per person and all monies collected on the evening will go into the kitty for everyone, including all raffle money. It is sure to be an excellent night, so try to get along and bring as many friends as you wish!!

Closing day photos

Well, another season has flown past, and all that is left for the bowling season is Closing Day. This will take place on Saturday 7th October at 2pm. The final match of the season sees the President v Vice President and is sure to be hotly contested. The meal will take place at 5pm, which will be followed by speeches, presentation of prizes culminating in David Anderson (2) receiving the Championship trophy. Following the prizegiving, there will be dancing to Kenny + Jai, until the late hours………

Tickets are priced at £9 for the full day or £2 for evening entry and the commitee hope to see as many members + visitors as possible attending our official closing.

Furthermore, there will be a list of events which will be held throughout the close season, including quiz nights, race nights, fancy dress party, karoake’s, hogmanay party (on the 31st December!) and many, many more!
