Motherwell Miners Welfare Bowling Club

The bowling section AGM was held within the bowling lounge on Wednesday 14th February 2007. Approximately 33 members were in attendance. The principle decisions taken on the evening were the approval of the balance sheet for 2006, an alteration to the selection commitee to include 2 members from the body of the hall and 1 committee member only, the retiral of President Morrie Smith from his position and finally, the inductions of new President Jim Thomson and Vice-President Stuart Boyd.

Opening Day will be on Saturday 14th April 2007. Check this site for more details nearer the time.

The penultimate quiz night of the close season will take place in the bowling lounge on Friday 9th February at 7.30pm. Cost per person is £1.50 and you will be treated to a quiz by Ian Gillespie. At half-time you will have the choice of a pie, bridie or sausage roll in case you missed your dinner!!

Please try to get along and support one of the best evenings in the winter programme.
