Charity Appeal: British Heart Foundation

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007 by Kenny

The creator of the Motherwell Miners website, the man who put all this into place, Graeme Russell, is participating in a Bike-a-thon from London to Brighton, 56 miles, on Sunday 17th June (the route should take Graeme around 4.5 hours to complete!). Graeme has been living in London for approximately 1 year as part of his degree course, however, will return to Scotland in September to continue his studies. Before then, he is participating in this challenge in order to raise money for the British Heart Foundation in their fight to beat heart disease. If you wish to donate money to Graeme’s cause, or to check how his fundraising is progressing, please go to the following webpage:

Monday, May 14th, 2007 by Kenny

David Anderson Jnr continued his winning ways in the most emphatic fashion on Sunday 13th May at Stonehouse BC. He defeated his opponent from East Kilbride by a scoreline of 21-1, which is virtually unheard of at this level. He now progresses to Houldsworth BC on Sunday 20th May at 6.30pm, where he shall face Thankerton BC’s champion. Congratulations David and best of luck in the next round.
