Contrary to previous reports, Division 17 have NOT been relegated.  Hamilton only obtained 1 point from their final match thus leaving us with a 5 point cushion!

Something else worth mentioning is that Jim McNaught and Bill Anderson were the only two players to have won all 7 matches in the Lanarkshire League 2009 season. They achieved the record of 7 out of 7 in Division 7! Both players were in the same rink throughout the campaign and this is a tremendous feat. Congratulations to Jim and Bill!

The third “Ryder Cup at Bowls” was held on Saturday 25th July 2009 and again proved to be a great day.  The winning team this year was the Red team who had Mark McFarlane as their vice-captain and David Gilfillan as captain.  The margin of victory was 5 points with the score being 14.5 - 9.5 pts.

We would like to thank all those who sponsored/donated to this competition, especially Airdrie Savings Bank, Clyde Valley Housing Association, the Moorings Hotel and Vue Cinema.
